Let’s talk about illustration libraries!
An illustration library is a wonderful resource to create, to have and to use. We know most brands and businesses take care of the logo, the color palette, the voice and tone – but, more often than not we don’t see folks taking advantage of an illustration library. It’s an arsenal of illustrations (better if they’re vector!) to be used for digital, print, and our personal fave… animation.
These illustrations support your brand with visual consistency just the way any other brand elements would.
They’re super helpful in defining the look of characters, props, and vignettes that are relevant to the service or product you offer. And major bonus – they really set you up for success when it’s time to create a moving message in animation.
For example…
Our partners over at Six Levers were just beginning to build their brand and came to us needing a short promo video. Instead of just creating a one-look, one-trick pony, we developed a small library of assets that could fuel both the video and their brand. This look is more iconographic, but is the same in principle – creating a library of graphics for brand use.

On occasion partners come to us with an established illustration library that we can pull from, or mimic – major win! Nationwide is a solid example of this, and we love creating additional assets in the illustration style when relevant to the messaging.

And sure, we’ve got an illustration library at Pixel Park too! It’s always growing.
